The Implosion of MAGA

Trump won the election. He won it based (mostly) on two things:

Stop immigration, get illegal aliens out.

Biden has been bad for business, bad for the economy—he is why you pay so much for groceries.

So, Trump will spend a lot of money (estimates are as much as $1 trillion) to rid us of illegal immigrants. We are going to ignore the contridiction of “small government” voters voting for a massive federal goverment project and focus on Trump’s main two promises: Get rid of illegal immigrants, bring prices down—

Do the people who voted for MAGA policies ever stop think of who is doing the backbreaking agricultural work? It sure ain’t Bob McWhitey. No, there are lot of Hispanic field workers who may or may not be legal immigrants.

You ship them off to the internment camps and eventually their home countries and in turn you create agricultural scarcity and….wait for it, groceries become more expensive.

Also, who do think is cutting lawns in Phoenix and Los Angeles when it gets to be 100-110 degrees? Ain’t no cracker out there pushing the Toro or driving the John Deere, it’s some Hispanic person.

So…getting your lawn mowed gets more expensive and it is harder to find someone to do it.

This is the implosion of MAGA, the reality of wishes coming true.

More women dying because the have a serious reproductive issue and their state won’t allow abortions under any condition?

More fourteen year old girls having to carry a rape baby to term?

That’s where the rubber meets the road and things go from being an idealogical abstract to cold reality.

Your grandmother dying due to Medicaid cuts thanks to whatever the hell Elon Musk is doing?

There are lot of fine qualities to people in this country but there is are some really bad qualities: Impatience. Expecting a simple solution to a complex problem, attempting to use that simple solution…and making your complex problem even worse, those are two.

The next two years are going to be grim, no way around it, but when you get to the midterms in 2026. and all these crappy ideas have begun to effect these people who voted MAGA, I believe you will begin to see the implosion of MAGA...
